Lagos State Mourns Deputy Commissioner Khan Salihu's Death

Lagos State is in mourning following the death of Deputy Commissioner of Police Khan Salihu, who was described by Ayodel Ogunsan, Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, as a dedicated officer known for his humility and selfless service. In a statement released on Wednesday, Ogunsan expressed deep sorrow over the loss, highlighting Salihu's significant contributions to the Lagos State Police Command and his role in maintaining professional relationships within the security community.

Ogunsan referred to Salihu as a "bridge builder" whose calm demeanor earned him admiration across the security ecosystem. The Lagos State Police Command, through spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi, debunked reports linking Salihu's death to a kidnapping incident, stating that he had briefly complained of feeling unwell and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Adebisi warned against publishing unverified news regarding the circumstances of Salihu's death.
