Four Police Officers Dismissed Over Traders' Killings

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the dismissal of four police officers allegedly involved in the tragic killing of seven traders in the Owode-Onirin area of Lagos. The officers were implicated in the unlawful killings, which occurred during a violent clash related to land grabbing on August 2025.

Jimoh Olohundar, the police chief, assured the public that the matter would not be swept under the carpet and emphasized the commitment to justice. An internal investigation is nearly complete, with a ballistic autopsy report already guiding the prosecution process.

Olohundar stated that 98 percent of the investigation has concluded and reiterated the command's resolve to ensure that those involved in the killings face the full weight of the law. He urged the public and families of the victims to remain vigilant and assured them that no one would be intimidated in the pursuit of justice.
