Lagos Reaffirms Readiness To Host 2026 National Youth Games

Lagos State has reaffirmed its readiness to host the 2026 National Youth Games, as part of the bid evaluation process. A top official from the Lagos State Sports Commission led a delegation on an inspection tour of key facilities across the state, including the Teslim Balogun Stadium, National Stadium, Elegbata Sports Complex, and others.

The delegation expressed confidence in Lagos' ability to deliver a landmark edition of the games, with a vision that goes beyond just competition. The Director of Grassroots Sports Development emphasized the core objective of accelerating sports infrastructure development through hosting such events.

While Delta State is set to host the next edition of the games, scheduled for August 26 to September 6, the baton will officially pass to Lagos for the 2026 edition.
