Lagos Resident Pedro Shot Dead in Cult Violence Incident

Pedro was shot dead on Tuesday in the Idumota area of Lagos Island, Lagos State, in what is suspected to be a case of cult violence. According to police sources, the assailants arrived on motorcycles and attacked Pedro at close range before fleeing the scene.

The victim had just left a friend's house and was heading to his sister's place when the incident occurred. The police indicated that the killing is linked to ongoing clashes between rival cult groups in the area.

Following the incident, police officials visited the scene and evacuated the corpse to the morgue. Efforts to reach the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, were unsuccessful as calls went unanswered and text messages were not replied to.

This incident follows another attack where three unidentified adult males were hacked to death by suspected cultists during a birthday party in the Epetedo area, highlighting the escalating violence associated with cult activities in Lagos.
