Lagos Schools Debate Enhances Critical Thinking Skills

The Lagos Schools Debate, initiated to promote critical thinking and problem-solving abilities among students, concluded successfully with Maryland Comprehensive School emerging as the winner in the senior secondary school category. British International Junior School won the junior secondary school category.

The competition, which involved six rounds of debate, encouraged students to prepare arguments within a short time frame, showcasing their confidence and grasp of core concepts. Bukunmi Babatund, the convener, noted the event's success in equipping students with necessary skills and emphasized the importance of debate in fostering academic excellence.
