Lagos Education District II Celebrates Student Creativity

Lagos State Education District II held a festival celebrating creativity, culture, and intellectual excellence among students. The event featured music, dance, and debate competitions, with schools across the district participating.

The theme focused on sustainability as a solution to cultism among youth. Mr.

Omotayo Layemo Sanni, the Permanent Secretary of Education District II, reaffirmed the district's commitment to creating platforms for talent development and responsible citizenship. Various performances included ballet, traditional dances, and drama, with awards distributed across categories.

Zumratul Islamiyyah Senior Grammar School emerged as the overall winner in the ballet dance category, while Government Senior Model College and Reri Senior Grammar School secured second and third places, respectively. Ayeder Ajibola Junior High School claimed first place in the debate competition for the junior category, with Oriwu Senior Model College winning the senior category.

The festival aimed to promote discipline and positive values among students while combating social vices.
