Lagos to Close Epe-Bound Lekki–Ajah Carriageway for Repairs

The Lagos State Government announced the closure of the Epe-bound carriageway of the Lekki–Ajah Expressway at Admiralti Junction and Jubile Bridge for rehabilitation works. This decision was disclosed by the Lagos State Commissioner for Transport, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, via an official social media account.

The closure follows the completion of the Chevron to Admiralti stretch of the Lekki–Ajah road and is part of ongoing efforts to improve road conditions along this busy corridor. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes, as traffic management teams will be deployed to minimize disruptions.

The rehabilitation will occur in phases to ensure quality and safety, with the project expected to last 64 days across a 20-kilometer stretch. Traffic lane configurations will vary according to peak periods to maintain smooth flow, with specific arrangements for morning and night traffic.

Nighttime partial closures will also occur at key intersections to facilitate safe construction.
