Lagos State Announces Traffic Diversions for Flyover Work

The Lagos State Government, through the Commission of Transport, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, has announced temporary traffic diversions at the Stadium and Ojuelegba flyovers to facilitate the installation of a truck barrier. This traffic adjustment will affect both inbound and outbound traffic at the Stadium Flyover and Ojuelegba Flyover, particularly near the fire station.

The diversions are scheduled to take place overnight from 12:00 midnight to 5:00 AM on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, 2026, as well as on Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5, 2026. Motorists are advised to adhere strictly to the designated alternate routes during this period.

Vehicles traveling from Eko Bridge towards Ojuelegba will be redirected via Costain, Iponri, and Alhaji Masha Road, while those approaching Eko Bridge via Costain and Apapa Road will also be diverted. The government appeals for patience and cooperation from road users to minimize inconvenience and ensure safety during the installation process.
