Lagos Traffic Diversion for Ikeja Road Reconstruction

The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion plan for the reconstruction of Ogunnusi Road in the Ikeja Local Government Area, effective from March 6. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Transport, disclosed that the project is part of a broader initiative to upgrade the 9.0-kilometer dual carriage corridor from Ojodu Berger to the Mobil Filling Station junction.

During the construction period, there will be no vehicular access within the designated construction zone, and motorists are urged to plan ahead and utilize alternative routes, particularly along the Ojodu Berger to Agege corridor. Osiyemi emphasized the importance of patience and compliance with traffic signage, as traffic management officials will be deployed along the corridor to minimize disruptions.

The project aims to improve road infrastructure and alleviate congestion in Ikeja and surrounding areas.
