FRSC Launches Safety Inspection on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has launched a comprehensive safety inspection initiative along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, specifically targeting the areas of Mowe, Shagamu, and Oluyole. This initiative is part of a strategic effort to curb road traffic crashes on Nigeria's busiest and accident-prone highway.

The Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Olusegun Ogungbemid is leading the initiative, acting on directives from the Corps Marshal, Shehu Moham. The inspection tour aims to assess personnel deployment, traffic control strategies, and emergency response preparedness across the FRSC units in these areas.

The ACM emphasized the need for intensified patrol operations and strict adherence to safety protocols to increase personnel visibility and reduce fatalities on the expressway. The exercise also serves as a morale booster for the officers and reinforces the leadership's commitment to protecting road users.

The FRSC aims to engage in a coordinated approach to tackle road safety challenges and ensure safer travel along the Lagos-Ibadan corridor.
