Lai Mohammed Denies Claims of Hausa Insurgency Report

Lai Mohammed, the former Minister of Information and Culture, issued a statement in Abuja on Saturday, categorically denying a viral report that suggested the existence of a Hausa insurgency. He described the claims as entirely fabricated and stressed that they were part of a misinformation campaign.

In an interview with Splash FM 105.5, he emphasized that no such statements regarding a Hausa insurgency were made by him or on any platform. Mohammed urged the public to disregard the misleading information and warned against the deliberate spread of false narratives that create confusion.

He called on Nigerians to verify information from credible sources and remain vigilant against the dissemination of false news across social media platforms. This statement comes in response to growing concerns raised by the public regarding the alleged insurgency.
