Lagos Director Killed in Tragic Accident Days Before Retirement Celebration

A Lagos State director, Basirat Lawal, was fatally hit by a vehicle on the Ibadan expressway near the Redeem Christian Church of God camp in Ibafo, Ogun State. The late director, scheduled to retire and celebrate her 60th birthday, was knocked down while crossing the highway.

The incident occurred on October 18, 2025, shocking the Lagos State agency LASRRA. The retirement celebration was planned at the NERDC Conference Center in Ikeja.

Basirat Lawal, the agency's spokesperson, expressed deep sorrow over the director's untimely demise.
