Lamido Stays Loyal to PDP Amid Internal Challenges

At a stakeholders meeting held in Duts, Jigawa State, Lamido, a prominent member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), declared his unwavering loyalty to the party despite facing internal challenges and defections from some members. He emphasized that the current issues within the PDP are internal problems that should not lead to members abandoning the party.

Lamido criticized politicians who have defected to smaller political parties, warning that such moves could undermine the political integrity of the PDP. He urged party members to remain committed to rebuilding the party's structure and strengthening its chances for future elections.

Lamido called for unity among members and encouraged active participation in the ongoing processes to prepare for the 2027 general elections. He also stressed the importance of revalidating party membership online to ensure proper voter registration, highlighting that sustained commitment from party members is crucial for restoring the PDP's competitive strength in upcoming elections.
