Lamido Rejects Support for Wike Amid PDP Crisis

Sule Lamido, the former governor of Jigawa State, has publicly clarified his position regarding the ongoing crisis within the People's Democratic Party (PDP). In an interview with Daily Trust, Lamido dismissed any plans to support Nyesom Wike, who is associated with a faction within the PDP.

He argued that Wike's contributions to the party's growth have been inconsequential and expressed that he has no intention of backing Wike. Instead, Lamido emphasized his primary interest in achieving peace within the PDP.

This statement comes in the context of earlier calls for party stakeholders to set aside their differences and support the caretaker structure of the PDP, which has been a point of contention among party members.
