Court Warns Developers to Respect Land Dispute Orders

Justice Yusuf Halilu of the High Court in Abuja issued a warning to estate developers regarding the importance of respecting court orders during a hearing on a land dispute concerning Plot 1729 in Cadastral Zone F27, Apo, Abuja. The plaintiff, AMAC Investment Property Development Company, is in a legal battle with Tech Concrete Limited, represented by Dr.

Shuaib Omeiza Musari, over ownership of the land. Justice Halilu highlighted that an interlocutory injunction issued on April 15, 2025, prohibited any party from taking action on the land while the case was pending.

Despite this, AMAC Investment allegedly resumed construction, breaching the court's order. The court was informed that contempt charges had been filed against AMAC Investment for this violation.

Justice Halilu stressed that the court's orders must be respected and warned that any disobedience would lead to punitive actions. The next hearing is scheduled for June 1, 2026, to allow the first defendant to present their case regarding land ownership.
