LASEPA GM Calls for Peaceful Prayers During Ramadan

Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, the General Manager of the Lagos State Environment Protection Agency (LASEPA), called on Muslims and Christians to pray for global peace during the fasting period.

This appeal was made during LASEPA's annual Ramadan lecture titled "Silence: A Sincere Journey Within," held at the agency's headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja, on a Monday. Ajayi emphasized the importance of prayer in enabling leaders to focus on delivering good governance that benefits citizens.

He highlighted the need for unity and peaceful coexistence among different religions, tribes, colors, and languages as essential for national development. Ajayi commended the organization of the lecture for fostering unity and harmony among LASEPA staff and reiterated the agency's commitment to promoting a spirit of unity that reflects in improved service delivery.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Muhammad Salisu, Chief Imam of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), discussed the concept of "Tawakkul," urging Muslims to combine hard work with trust in God.
