Lagos State Ensures Prompt Pension Payments for Retirees

The Lagos State Government reaffirmed its commitment to timely pension payments for retirees during a seminar held on Monday, October 30, at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium in Alausa. The seminar, which was officiated by Bode Agoro, emphasized the importance of proper documentation to ensure a seamless transition for public servants approaching retirement.

Sunkanmi Oyegbola, representing the Permanent Secretary of the Public Service Office, highlighted that the seminar was designed to simplify retirement procedures and address common challenges related to incomplete documentation. Babalola Obilana, the Director General of LASPEC, described the seminar as part of broader reforms aimed at strengthening pension administration and improving service delivery.

He noted that retirees play a critical role in ensuring a smooth process by submitting accurate and timely documents. The Lagos State Government remains focused on improving transparency and efficiency in pension management, with ongoing reforms involving relevant stakeholders.
