Lagos State Launches Verification for Retirees' Benefits

The Lagos State Government commenced a comprehensive verification exercise for retirees on Thursday, aimed at directly recruiting retirees across its parastatal agencies and government-owned companies. This initiative is part of the state's ongoing public service reform efforts.

Dr. Oluwagbemiga Aina, the Permanent Secretary of the Parastatal Monitoring Office in the Office of the Governor, emphasized that the exercise is a critical milestone designed to update records and reinforce transparency and efficient management of post-service entitlements. The verification process is intended to help reconcile existing records, eliminate discrepancies, and establish a credible and reliable database for retirees.

This will enhance the planning and delivery of services across affected institutions, ensuring that every directly recruited retiree receives their rightful entitlements in a seamless manner and on time.
