Lagos State Issues Traffic Advisory for Kara Bridge Repairs

The Lagos State Government announced a traffic advisory regarding the partial closure of Kara Bridge for repairs, which will take place over the next two weeks. The Lagos State Ministry of Transport released a statement detailing alternative routes for motorists to ease movement during this period.

Motorists heading towards Third Mainland Bridge will be redirected through Ketu, Mile 12, Ogolonto, and Ikorodu Garage, proceeding to Sabo Roundabout to connect with Isagamu Road and Itokin Road. Drivers on Lagos Island will need to use Ilubinrin to access Ijora Bridge and Eko Bridge, linking to Funsho Williams Avenue and Ikorodu Road.

The advisory emphasizes the importance of planning trips to avoid delays. Additionally, traffic officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority will be deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow in the affected areas.

The repairs are expected to alleviate daily gridlock that has frustrated motorists, prompting the federal ministry to initiate multi-point repairs to expedite the work.
