Lagos State Announces Road Closures for Inauguration Events

The Lagos State Government, through the Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, has issued a caution to motorists regarding partial road closures scheduled for April 8 and 9, 2023. These closures are necessary to ensure safety and smooth conduct during the inauguration of critical infrastructure projects.

On April 8, the Opebi-Mend Link Bridge will be inaugurated from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, affecting traffic in the Opebi, Allen, Ikeja, and Ojota areas. The following day, April 9, two events are scheduled: the inauguration of the Tolu School Complex in the Olodi, Apapa, and Ajegunle area from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and another event at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Motorists are advised to avoid these corridors during the specified hours and to exercise caution, as the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority will deploy personnel to manage traffic flow and assist motorists.
