Lagos State to Host Energy Summit in May 2026

Lagos State is set to host the second Lagos Energy Summit from May 18 to May 20, 2026, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel. This initiative is part of the state's efforts to accelerate energy investment and infrastructure development, enhancing service delivery and evolving the energy landscape.

The summit, organized by the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, aims to create a platform for high-impact investment policies to improve energy access and reliability while mobilizing private sector capital in Lagos State's power sector. The event will reflect a strategic shift towards regulatory reform and the execution of bankable projects following the implementation of the Lagos State Electricity Law 2024.

The summit's theme, "Lagos Energy Evolution: Transforming the Future," anticipates the participation of approximately 4,000 attendees, including government leaders and stakeholders in the energy sector. Key discussions will focus on renewable energy solutions, decentralized generation, and strengthening distribution infrastructure to support the state's 24-hour economy.
