Lagos to Host Major Commonwealth Investors’ Summit

In June, Lagos State will host the largest Commonwealth Investors’ Summit, aiming to attract over 600 investors from Commonwealth member countries. This initiative follows a formal strategic partnership between the Lagos State Government and the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), marked by a memorandum of understanding signed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and CWEIC Chief Executive Officer Samantha Cohen.

The summit, scheduled for two days at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre in Victoria Island, will focus on investment opportunities in Lagos, which is positioned as a premier destination for large-scale transformative investments. The event is expected to convene 500 to 600 high-level delegates, including global institutional investors and representatives from sovereign wealth entities.

The summit will emphasize the mobilization of global capital and the strengthening of cross-border trade relationships, showcasing bankable projects across priority sectors such as infrastructure, renewable energy, and healthcare.
