LASG Warns Against Illegal Parking in Computer Village

The Lagos State Government has issued a warning regarding illegal parking operators in Computer Village, located in Ikeja. A statement released on Wednesday by the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) emphasized that individuals involved in illegal parking activities risk arrest and prosecution.

Adebisi Adelabu, the General Manager of LASPA, revealed that a racket of fraudsters is operating in the area, charging unsuspecting drivers N1,000 to park their vehicles. The statement also noted that LASPA has been actively clamping down on vehicles parked illegally, which includes removing number plates and towing vehicles, leading to substantial fines for vehicle owners.

Adelabu condemned these illicit activities, describing them as a disservice to the public and an embarrassment to the government's efforts to create an orderly parking system. LASPA urged motorists and visitors to patronize registered parking operators who provide valid identification receipts and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
