LASTMA Launches 3367 Code for Traffic Emergency Response

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) unveiled a four-digit code, 3367, aimed at revolutionizing traffic emergency response in Lagos State. This initiative, announced by Adebayo Taofeek, Director of Public Affairs, is designed to create a direct communication channel for road users to report traffic crashes, broken-down vehicles, and abandoned trucks requiring immediate attention.

The toll-free hotline is available on MTN, Glo, and 9mobile networks, removing financial barriers that often discourage citizens from reporting incidents that can cause traffic congestion and endanger lives. The platform supports multiple languages, including English, Yoruba, and Nigerian Pidgin, ensuring effective communication during emergencies.

Olalekan Bakar Oki emphasized that the hotline reflects LASTMA's commitment to safeguarding lives and ensuring free vehicular movement. The introduction of this service aligns with global best practices in intelligent traffic management technology, encouraging citizen participation in maintaining safer and more efficient roads in Lagos.
