APC House of Representatives Primaries Postponed in Taraba

The primaries for the APC House of Representatives in Taraba State faced a setback on Saturday, leading to a postponement to Sunday, Mai 17. The delay was caused by the late arrival of committee members, which Mr.

Tsenango Abancha, the chairman of the electoral committee, attributed to transport challenges in distributing electoral materials. He apologized for the inconvenience caused and noted that the committee members arrived behind schedule due to difficulties in collecting materials and waiting for flights from Abuja.

Abancha emphasized that the process would start in earnest and assured party members and the public of a transparent, peaceful, and credible election process in line with APC's constitution. Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, the Taraba State chairman of the APC, welcomed the committee members despite the setback and expressed the party's commitment to ensuring a successful primary election capable of producing credible candidates.

He urged aspirants and party members to remain calm despite the delay.
