Laura Ikeji Urges Women to Avoid Libya Migration Risks

Laura Ikeji, in a video shared on her Instagram page, cautioned young women against the perilous migration to Libya. She referenced a TikTok video where a young woman detailed the horrific abuse she endured after being trafficked to Libya.

Ikeji expressed her disbelief at the comments on the video, where many users were inquiring about the contact information of the woman's trafficker instead of showing sympathy. She questioned why anyone would still consider making such a dangerous journey after hearing such disturbing accounts.

Ikeji urged young women to acknowledge their worth and avoid risking their lives for opportunities that could lead to exploitation. While she recognized the economic challenges in Nigeria, she firmly stated that becoming a victim of modern-day slavery abroad is not a viable solution.
