Yobe State to Deliver 3.5M Votes for Tinubu in 2027

Ahmed Lawan, during a stakeholders meeting held at the Government House in Damaturu, declared that Yobe State is poised to deliver 3.5 million votes for Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general elections. He attributed this confidence to the positive results yielded from various interventions and reforms introduced by the federal government, which have shown significant outcomes during the last presidential election.

Lawan emphasized the APC's commitment to surpassing previous performance records, aiming to achieve even greater results than states with larger populations. He also discussed the party's strategy for selecting candidates for the governorship and national assembly positions, revealing that the APC will adopt a consensus approach.

This method, based on past experiences, is expected to foster unity within the party, despite internal differences, as highlighted by former Governor Mai Mala Buni's remarks on the importance of cohesion ahead of the elections.
