Yobe State Endorses Tinubu for Second Term in Office

Yobe State has officially endorsed Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office, adopting a consensus approach for the upcoming party primaries. This decision was communicated through a communiqué issued after a stakeholders' meeting held in Damaturu.

The meeting was attended by key figures, including former Senate President Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan and the state's former governor, Mai Mala Buni. The communiqué emphasized the necessity of supporting Tinubu's leadership and the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the governing party at both state and federal levels.

It called for unity among party members to avoid any issues that could lead to disaffection within the party. Buni urged stakeholders to back Tinubu's candidacy for the 2027 elections, highlighting the advantages of APC governance since 2015, which has facilitated reconstruction and recovery programs beneficial to the state and its people.
