Gbajabiamila Urged to Dissolve ADC Amid Leadership Crisis

Femi Gbajabiamila, a member of the House of Representatives, has been called upon to disband the African Democratic Congress (ADC) due to ongoing internal crises and legal disputes regarding leadership uncertainty. This development occurred shortly after the Supreme Court reinstated David Mark as the chairman of the ADC.

Gbajabiamila, representing Yagba East, Yagba West, and Mopamuro Federal Constituency in Kogi, described the exit of certain factions as inevitable, emphasizing the need for decisive action to safeguard the political future of the party. He noted that the decision to address these issues was made weeks ago to ensure public awareness of the situation.

The ADC is facing challenges as it prepares for the 2027 general elections, with legal proceedings affecting its operational capacity. Gbajabiamila's comments, made in a jovial context, were clarified to indicate that he did not intend to destroy the party but rather to encourage a fight for its political relevance.
