The House of Representatives sat on 3 December 2025 with a packed agenda spanning legislation, committee reports, and constitutional amendment debates.

Ten bills were listed for Third Reading — the final stage before a bill is passed. These included bills to establish a Federal College of Nursing and Midwifery in Zaria, a Petroleum Training Institute in Ibeno (Akwa Ibom State), Federal Medical Centres in Kumo (Gombe) and Oleh (Delta), and a Child Online Access Protection Bill aimed at protecting Nigerian children from online violence.

On committee reports, the Committee on Electoral Matters presented findings on a bill to fully repeal and replace the Electoral Act 2022. The Committee on Police Affairs presented a report on a bill requiring at least 15 percent female representation in police recruitment.

The most substantial portion of the day involved debates on constitutional amendments under the Local Governments cluster. These included a bill to formally establish local government councils as a recognised tier of government, a bill to strengthen audit oversight of local government finances, and several bills to rename or correct the names of specific local government areas in Delta, Oyo, Kaduna, and Osun states.
