Libya and WHO Sign Health Cooperation Agreement for 2026-2027

On a recent date, Libya's Ministry of Health, represented by Minister Mohan Al Ghouj, signed a strategic cooperation framework with the World Health Organization (WHO) in Tripoli. The agreement outlines a technical partnership roadmap for the years 2026-2027, with the primary aim of strengthening Libya's health system.

The focus will be on enhancing primary healthcare services, supporting clinics and hospitals, improving operational efficiency, and developing a referral response system. This initiative comes as Libya's government faces significant challenges in providing basic services, including healthcare, due to years of armed conflict.

The meeting included representatives from Libya, such as Ahm Zouiten, and technical team members like Nan Shakirat Sadiq, indicating a collaborative effort to address the pressing health needs of the population.
