LIFE Foundation Hosts Creative Teen Leadership Camp

The 2026 Teen Leadership Camp, organized by the Literacy Integration and Formal Education (LIFE) Foundation, took place in Lagos from July 27 to August 21. The camp, themed “Developing Emotionally Intelligent Leaders,” included participants from Nigeria, France, and Belgium.

Over four weeks, teenagers engaged in workshops, debates, community service projects, and team-building activities, emphasizing the role of art and culture in leadership. Guest speakers included actress Ini Edo and Chioma Ude, founder of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), who shared insights from Nollywood.

Nero Asibelua from the Society for Art Collection also contributed to discussions on art and cultural expression. The program aimed to provide a holistic experience, encouraging participants to consider creativity in understanding themselves and their communities.

Camp Coordinator Vivian Asibelua reaffirmed the foundation's commitment to nurturing compassionate and purpose-driven youth. The camp featured facilitators from various professional backgrounds, including Dr. Nkechi Ali-Balogun and Chief Leo Stan Ekeh, among others, and was founded by Elvira Salleras in 2004.
