Messi Cup 2026 Set for October in South Florida

Lionel Messi confirmed that The Messi Cup will return for its second edition in South Florida, taking place from October 25 to November 1, 2026. Organized through his production company 525 Rosario, the tournament will feature 16 clubs from nine countries and three continents, significantly expanding from the inaugural edition, which had eight clubs.

The participating teams include Inter Miami, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Chelsea, Atlético de Madrid, Inter Milan, River Plate, Newell's Old Boys, Boca Juniors, Arsenal, Ajax, Benfica, Flamengo, Palmeiras, Independiente del Valle, and UE Cornellà. The tournament aims to provide U-16 players with international competition experience against elite academies.

The final will be held at Inter Miami's stadium, with other matches at the club's training complex. The inaugural edition was won by River Plate, defeating Atlético Madrid in the final.
