Lionel Messi Achieves 900 Career Goals Milestone

On Wednesday, Lionel Messi, the captain of Inter Miami, reached a significant milestone by scoring his 900th career goal during a 1-1 draw against Nashville SC in the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup. The Argentine World Cup winner achieved this feat in 1,142 games, making him the second male footballer in history to do so, following Cristiano Ronaldo, who reached 900 goals in 1,236 matches.

Messi opened the scoring within the first 10 minutes of the match, cutting left and firing back across the goal to give Miami the lead. However, Cristian Espinoza equalized for Nashville, resulting in Miami crashing out of the competition.

Throughout his career, Messi has scored 672 goals for Barcelona, 32 for Paris Saint-Germain, 81 during his time with Inter Miami, and 115 for the Argentina national team. Pele stands third on the all-time list with 765 goals.
