Lionel Richie Hospitalized After St. Louis Concert

Lionel Richie, the 77-year-old singer, was hospitalized in an intensive care unit in St. Louis after his performance at The Muny in Forest Park on Saturday, August 29. He checked himself into a local hospital as a precaution due to feeling unwell, with sources indicating he is being evaluated for possible slight dehydration.

During his final song, “All Night Long,” Richie requested a chair to finish the performance while seated, suggesting he struggled toward the end. He is currently on his “Sing a Song All Night Long” tour with Earth, Wind & Fire, with his next scheduled performance on September 26 in San Francisco, though it remains unconfirmed if his hospitalization will impact upcoming shows.

This health scare follows a previous incident on June 24, when Richie fell ill during a concert at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he experienced dizziness and had to cut the show short. He later postponed two shows on medical advice but returned to the stage on June 30.
