Peter Obi Reveals Litigation Forced His Exit from Labour Party

Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, disclosed that ongoing litigation compelled him to leave the Labour Party. This statement was made following the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) convention.

Obi expressed appreciation for the leadership of the NDC and the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which provided a platform for accommodating opposition members. He lamented the current political leadership in Nigeria, stating that it frustrates opposition voices and poses a danger to the country's democracy.

Obi emphasized that the people should not surrender to despair, as a better nation is possible despite the dire state of security and development in Nigeria. He also mentioned the need for collective action among opposition parties to rescue the country from its current challenges.
