Army Commander Urges Newly Promoted Officers to Excel

During a decoration ceremony held in Taraba State on Friday, Brigadier General Chukwuemeka Akaliro, commander of the 6 Brigade, addressed newly promoted officers, urging them to live up to the expectations associated with their new ranks. He emphasized that advancement in the armed forces carries responsibilities that extend beyond personal achievements, describing promotions as a call to deeper service rather than mere recognition of past performance.

Akaliro stressed the importance of continuous professional development to ascend to higher command levels. He expressed appreciation for the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, for recognizing the worthiness of the promoted officers.

Lieutenant Colonel Yahaya Moha, representing the newly promoted officers, expressed gratitude to God for reaching this milestone and pledged to discharge their duties with renewed vigor. Other notable promotions included Lieutenant Colonels Ali Nasiru, Adeola Adebayo, and V.S.

Aminu. The event was attended by retired senior officers and family members of the newly promoted officers.
