GOC Babalola Charges Newly Promoted Officers on Duty

During a formal decoration ceremony at the 81 Division officers' mess in Victoria Island, Lagos, Major General Adebayo Babalola, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, charged six newly promoted officers to redouble their efforts in justifying the confidence placed in them. The officers, who were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, include Lieutenant Colonel Sanusi, acting Chief of Staff 81 Division, Lieutenant Colonel Lawal, head of Military Intelligence, Lieutenant Colonel Ishaku, acting Deputy Director of Physical Training, Lieutenant Colonel B.J.

Gimba, Chief Librarian, Lieutenant Colonel M.B. Sifawa, Commandant of Secondary School Abeokuta, and Lieutenant Colonel G.O.

Uwagbo, acting Command of the 81 Division Band. Major General Babalola emphasized that promotions come with greater responsibilities and higher expectations, urging the officers to remain steadfast and committed to the core values of the Nigerian Army.

Lieutenant Colonel Sanusi expressed gratitude for the honor and acknowledged the support from family, friends, and colleagues throughout his career.
