LOC Inspects Facilities for 2026 National Para Games

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) conducted a thorough inspection of the facilities in preparation for the 2026 National Para Games, which will take place from March 26 to April 3, 2026, at the MKO Abiola National Stadium Complex in Abuja. According to a statement issued by the National Sports Commission (NSC) on Wednesday, the inspection aimed to assess the readiness of the venues and identify any technical gaps to ensure compliance with required standards for hosting a seamless multi-sport event.

The evaluation covered fifteen sports venues across the stadium complex, including facilities for amputee football, para-athletics, para-badminton, para-canoeing, para-cycling, para-karate, para-powerlifting, para-shooting, para-soccer, para-swimming, para-taekwondo, para-table tennis, sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair tennis. The inspection report confirmed that the venues are suitable for competition, with only minor technical adjustments needed.

The LOC emphasized that any observations raised during the inspection will be addressed promptly to guarantee a world-class competitive environment.
