Labour Party Addresses INEC Concerns Ahead of Congresses

The Labour Party, under the leadership of Senator Nenadi Usman, who heads the Interim National Working Committee (INWC), has responded to concerns raised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of its proposed state and local government congresses. Barrister Ken Asowga, the party's chairman, expressed the party's commitment to comply with INEC's guidelines and electoral laws.

The party warned its members against circulating rumors that could discredit its activities and misinform the public. In a letter to INEC, the Labour Party reaffirmed its adherence to electoral regulations and addressed inquiries from members seeking clarification on the current state of affairs.

The party urged members and the public to support ongoing membership revalidation and new registration efforts, while also preparing for the forthcoming national convention. The leadership reassured members that they remain focused and will not be distracted by the actions of a few disgruntled former members attempting to create confusion.
