LP Offers Free Nomination Forms to Governor Otti for 2027

The Labour Party (LP) has offered Governor Alex Otti free nomination forms as he prepares to contest in the 2027 elections. The party released a timetable for activities leading up to the 2026 primaries, which are crucial for the 2027 general elections.

According to the Nigeria Constitution and the revised Electoral Act, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a statement regarding the schedule. The sale of nomination forms for elective offices will commence on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, and end on Monday, May 16, 2026.

Submission of completed forms will take place from May 17 to May 18, 2026. The screening for House Assembly and governorship positions is scheduled for May 20, while presidential aspirants will be screened on May 22, with results announced on May 23, 2026.

The governorship primaries will be held on May 27, 2026, and the presidential primaries on May 29, 2026. The nomination fee for presidential candidates is set at N50 million, with a reduced fee for female aspirants, persons with disabilities, and youth aged 25 to 30.
