Labour Party Sets N50m Fee for Presidential Forms

The Labour Party (LP) has announced that the fee for presidential nomination forms for the 2027 elections will be set at N50 million. The party's primaries are scheduled to take place on May 27, 2026, for governorship and on May 29, 2026, for presidential candidates.

This information was released by Ken Asogwa, the party's national secretary. In a bid to promote inclusivity, the LP will not require payment for nomination forms from specific groups, including women, youth aged 25 to 30 years, and people living with disabilities.

This decision aligns with the provisions of the amended Electoral Act of 2026 and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which guide the conduct of elections. The party's national working committee will oversee these arrangements as they prepare for the upcoming elections.
