Labour Party Reschedules Primaries to May 30, 2023

The Labour Party has announced the rescheduling of its primaries for the 2027 presidential and governorship elections to May 30, 2023. This decision was disclosed by Ken Asogwa, the party's national public secretary, in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday.

Initially, the governorship and state house assembly primaries were set for May 27, while the presidential national assembly primaries were scheduled for May 29. However, the party deemed it necessary to adjust the dates to allow members and aspirants to fully observe the significant occasions of the Sallah celebration and the Democracy Day anniversary on May 29.

The Labour Party expressed regret for any inconvenience this change may cause to aspirants and stakeholders.
