Real Madrid Signs Ibrahima Konate on Four-Year Deal

Real Madrid confirmed the signing of Ibrahima Konate from Liverpool on a four-year deal, which will last until June 30, 2030. The announcement was made on Thursday, and the 27-year-old defender is set to join the Spanish giants after reaching an agreement.

Konate, who moved to Liverpool in 2021 from RB Leipzig, has made 183 appearances and won the Premier League in 2025 and the FA Cup in 2022. He is also a current World Cup champion with France.

This signing is part of Real Madrid's efforts to reinforce their squad after two consecutive seasons without major trophies. The club has already signed left-back Marc Cucurella and midfielder Bernardo Silva, and they are linked with wing-back Denzel Dumfries.

Additionally, Real Madrid renewed the contract of center-back Antonio Rudiger until 2027, while Dani Carvajal and David Alaba left the club after their contracts ended.
