Boko Haram Suicide Bombings Hit Maiduguri During Iftar

On Monday, suicide bombings attributed to Boko Haram occurred in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, during the iftar period. The attacks involved improvised explosive devices detonated at three different locations: the post office area, the Monday market, and the entrance of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH).

Uba, a representative from the Joint Task Force North East Operations Hadin Kai, described the attacks as cowardly attempts to instill panic among residents. The military assured that they are collaborating with security agencies to manage the situation and that medical professionals are attending to those affected by the blasts.

Uba also cautioned that intelligence reports indicated potential future attacks in crowded areas, prompting an increase in surveillance and urging the public to report any suspicious individuals or situations.
