Aderemi Makanjuola Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Aderemi Muyinudeen Makanjuola, the Chairman of Caverton Offshore Support Group Plc and Chancellor Emeritus of Edo State University, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his enduring legacies in the aviation and logistics sectors. Born on November 24, 1948, in Lagos, Makanjuola's educational journey began at Ahmadiyya College, Lagos, where he became Senior Prefect.

He pursued higher education in Bulgaria and England, earning a BA in Economics and a Master's in Manpower Planning. His career commenced in December 1977 at Union Bank Nigeria in Kano, leading to a two-decade tenure in the financial sector, where he rose through the ranks to become Executive Vice Chairman of FBNBank from 2014 to 2020.

Makanjuola's pivotal decision in 1999 to transition from banking to establish Caverton, a global oilfield services company, marked a significant shift in his career, focusing on offshore logistics in Nigeria's oil and gas sector.
