Makinde Approves N45m for Control of HIV/AIDS

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved N45 million for the Oyo State Agency for the Control of AIDS (OYSACA) to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS in the state. The announcement was made by the governor's deputy, Bayo Lawal, during the inauguration ceremony of OYSACA Ambassadors in Ibadan.

The fund will be used for the purchase of HIV test kits to strengthen the agency's capacity in fighting the epidemic. Makinde, along with other dignitaries, emphasized the importance of improving public health and reducing the prevalence of HIV in the state.

The newly appointed Ambassadors were urged to raise awareness and support the government's efforts in combating the disease. The governor highlighted the significance of community engagement and leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS, emphasizing the need for inclusivity and compassion.
