Makinde Advocates Unity for Oyo's Development Beyond 2027

On Friday, during a meeting with political stakeholders in Ibadan, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde called for unity among members of his political team to ensure the continued development of Oyo State beyond 2027. He advised party leaders and stakeholders, especially those aspiring for various electoral offices in the 2027 elections, to remain united.

Makinde praised the achievements of his administration since 2019 and attributed these successes to collective efforts. He cautioned against allowing political ambitions to divide groups and noted that there are 51 electoral positions to be filled in the upcoming general elections.

He expressed confidence that his team would deliver electoral success in 2027 and urged stakeholders to engage with the public to counter misinformation. Makinde emphasized the importance of peacebuilding and collaboration, stating that unity is essential for the benefit of the people of Oyo State.
