Makinde Launches Campaign Office, Aims for 2027 Elections

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, a presidential hopeful of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), inaugurated his campaign office in Abuja. He declared that a united opposition could defeat the ruling party in the 2027 general elections.

Makinde emphasized the importance of engaging Nigerians in discussions about the country's future, particularly regarding the fuel subsidy debate, stating that the focus should be on making Nigeria's oil resources affordable. He called for transparency in the petroleum value chain and expressed confidence that opposition forces could collaborate effectively.

Makinde invited citizens to support his campaign and participate in the "Reset Nigeria" conversation, asserting that the voices and votes of Nigerians would be crucial in the upcoming election. He dismissed doubts about the impact of his campaign and pledged accountability in managing public resources for the benefit of the people.
