Seyi Makinde Launches 2027 Presidential Campaign in Katsina

Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), initiated his campaign for the 2027 presidential election with a town hall meeting in Katsina State. This event, scheduled for September 22, is part of a series of nationwide consultations aimed at engaging citizens and political stakeholders across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones.

The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation announced that these meetings will allow the APM candidate and his running mate, Lawal Musa Daura, to present their plans and discuss pressing national issues. Tony Ehilebo, Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication to Makinde, confirmed that the Katsina meeting marks the beginning of these engagements, with subsequent meetings planned in Uyo on September 25, Lafia on September 28, and Enugu on September 30.

The campaign is centered around Makinde's "Reset Nigeria" message, focusing on national stability, citizen welfare, and accountability in governance. This engagement follows Makinde's formal presentation as the APM presidential candidate in August.
